Explorer of the Seas is 1030 feet long, 150 feet wide and weighs in at 142,000 tons (quite big). In fact she's (currently) the world's largest cruise ship, and is owned by Royal Caribean Lines. She has 14 passenger decks, carries over 3000 passengers + 2000 crew, has a 900 seat capacity ice-rink, and a rock-climbing wall behind the funnel. When she arrived in Southampton yesterday 5th October she came straight from her builders in Finland, and docked without the aid of tugs |
