Plans are pushing ahead for this year's Waterside Arts Festival, to take place over the weekend of 28th and 29th June.
On the Saturday, Hythe village centre will be buzzing with entertainment, including musi¬cians, jugglers, singers, Morris dancers, puppets, jesters, and even roving Shakespeare. Performances will take place in the village streets, precincts and on the Promenade.
Towards the end of the day, stalls will be set up around the village along with a fresh set of entertainers, as the crowds are expected to gather to witness the departure down Southampton Water of four big cruise liners.
On the Sunday afternoon, an open air brass band concert will be held on The Promenade.
