Solent Blue Line Buses
Bluestar Buses
New Bluestar 8 and Bluestar 9 replace former services 38, X38, X8 and X9. Bluestar 8 runs every 30 minutes between Southampton, Totton, Marchwood and Hythe.

There is a major increase in fast journeys between Southampton, Holbury and Blackfield with new Bluestar 9 buses every 20 minutes. Extra Bluestar 9fast journeys in the rush hours on Mondays to Fridays mean there will be a bus up to every 10 minutes between Blackfield, Holbury and Southampton.

There are some changes to times on Hythe local services 36/36A and 37. Service 37 will now run between Hythe, Heather Road and Calshot. At peak times Bluestar 9fast will provide extra buses to Calshot.

The Challenger Way area will be served by hourly buses on Bluestar 8 offering a new through link between this part of Dibden and Southampton.

(Details including a route map for buses to Southampton and local Hythe buses is available).

Hythe no longer has it's own train service – the last train ran in 1966 and the station is now the village museum (see the Waterside Heritage website for further information).
