NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that New Forest District Council, acting as agent to the traffic authority, Hampshire County Council, proposes to make an Order to allow for bus stop and crossing improvement works to be undertaken, as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: That length of C97 Beaulieu Road between its junction with Whinfield Road and its junction with North Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:
From the northeastern point of closure, northeast via Beaulieu Road to its junction with Butts Bridge Hill; southeast via Butts Bridge Hill and Fawley Road to its roundabout junction with A326 Hythe Bypass at Hardley; northwest via Hythe Bypass to its roundabout junction with C97 Beaulieu Road Dibden Purlieu; northeast via Beaulieu Road to the southwestern point of closure, and vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From 19th February 2007 for a period of six months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than five days.)
Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
