Intruder incidents in Dibden Purlieu

Police are appealing for information following two incidents at properties in Beaulieu Road, Dibden Purlieu.

The first incident took place between 10pm on Friday, July 20 and 6.15am on Saturday, July 21.

Entry was gained to an address while the occupant, a 70-year-old man, was asleep. A wallet, containing a small amount of cash, and two tobacco tins were taken from inside the property.

The second incident took place between 3.45 and 4am on Thursday, July 26.
An 87-year-old man woke in the night and saw a shadow of a person sitting in his window.

The man switched on a light and shouted at the person who then ran away from the property.
Nothing was stolen.

Anyone who may have witnessed either incident or noticed anyone acting suspiciously in the area of Beaulieu Road should contact Hythe police station on 0845 045 45 45, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
