Police appeal for witnesses following armed robbery in Hythe

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man walked into the One Stop store in Fairview Parade, Hythe, brandishing a large kitchen knife which he used to threaten staff.

He entered the store at around 9.45pm on Wednesday, August 15 and demanded money from the staff. 

A small amount of money was handed over from a till.
The man then left the store.

He is described as:

  • White
  • Slim build
  • Aged 18-22 years
  • He is thought to have been wearing a shirt with black and grey vertical lines.

Investigating officers are keen to hear from anyone who was in the store at the time of the robbery, or from anyone who was in the area at the time the offence took place.

Officers would also like to hear from anyone who may have found a discarded kitchen knife, a pair of grey gloves or other items of clothing in the Hythe area.
