Police in Hythe are appealing for information
after Applemore College sustained more than £5,000 worth
of damage to one of its buildings.
The damage was caused by a group
of youths who repeatedly hit a large bucket of golf balls
at the building.
Ten windows and 20 wall panels were damaged
at the college sometime between Friday evening, (August 18)
and Monday morning (August 21).
A large number of the golf
balls were found scattered around several classrooms at the
college and the bucket was discarded in the grounds.
Police
are studying CCTV footage to try and establish who may be
responsible and are appealing for any information from members
of the public who may know the youths, or saw them in the
grounds sometime over the weekend.
