Police in Hythe are appealing for information after Applemore College sustained more than £5,000 worth of damage to one of its buildings.

The damage was caused by a group of youths who repeatedly hit a large bucket of golf balls at the building.

Ten windows and 20 wall panels were damaged at the college sometime between Friday evening, (August 18) and Monday morning (August 21).

A large number of the golf balls were found scattered around several classrooms at the college and the bucket was discarded in the grounds.

Police are studying CCTV footage to try and establish who may be responsible and are appealing for any information from members of the public who may know the youths, or saw them in the grounds sometime over the weekend.

Information should be given by phoning Hythe police station on 0845 045 45 45 or anonymously on the Crimestoppers line 0800 555 111.
